De-esser
The DE-ESSER block — tame harsh sibilance ('ess' / 'sh') on a vocal by ducking ONLY the sibilant band, leaving the voice body untouched. Wire a vocal through it, set the Frequency where the sibilance lives, drop the Threshold until the esses trigger, and dial the Amount of the duck. The melody-owned dynamics-rt de-esser, wired as a block you route through — put it after the gate and before the compressor in a vocal chain.
