De-esser
A de-esser — tames harsh sibilance ('ess' / 'sh') on a vocal. It splits the signal at Frequency, watches the high SIBILANCE band, and when it crosses the Threshold ducks ONLY that band by Amount (the voice body is left untouched). Put it AFTER the gate and BEFORE the compressor in a vocal chain. Melody-owned DSP (dynamics-rt). Automate the Threshold over a take for dynamic de-essing.
