Feedback Guard

A feedback guard — stops acoustic howlround, the mic→speaker→mic runaway that grows 'louder and louder'. It watches the input level; when it RISES above the recent ambient baseline and SUSTAINS (the runaway signature), it ducks the gain FAST to break the loop and recovers SLOWLY once the ring stops. Put it on a Microphone (or its rig) when you monitor through speakers — it's the automated version of slamming Mute. Threshold = the level it watches above; Sensitivity = how small a rise counts; Depth = how hard it ducks; Release = recovery speed. Melody-owned DSP (dynamics-rt). Mic-only: a sustained loud note can trip an aggressive setting, so keep Sensitivity moderate (a speaker-referenced detector that tells true feedback from a held note is a later upgrade). Automate the Threshold over a take if needed.
