Bowed Pad (Tasto · Normale · Ponticello)

A BOWED STRING PAD — a string section under one bow. The EFFORT node is the bow arm: pressure × speed, slewed with a bow's weight and breathing on its own. It couples FOUR ways at once (the richest expression map in the family), each with its OWN law: brightness opens CONCAVELY (the tone blooms as you lean), the ladder RESONANCE peaks on an S-curve (flat in the middle, then the bowed 'scream' as you bear down), the rosin SCRATCH band rises CONVEXLY (the friction bite appears late and hard), and loudness tracks LINEARLY. Two saw ranks (an 8' section with ensemble detune + a 16' body octave) sing through the ladder; a whiter noise band, gated by the note AND scaled by the bow, is the rosin on the string; a very slow LFO drifts the cutoff for a living, never-static pad; a wide, lush hall wraps it. Hold a chord and LEAN — the more you push, the brighter, the more it sings and bites. Wire a CV or bind a MIDI CC / aftertouch to the Effort Push to bow it by hand.
