Squeezebox (Accordion · Bandoneón)

ONE parametric FREE-REED squeezebox — pick the voice on the pad and the whole rig BECOMES it. The accordion and its sharper tango cousin the bandoneón share the WHOLE bellows-and-reed spine — up to four detuned reed RANKS at 16'/8'/8'/4' (the beating musette mechanism), a ladder filter, a parallel breath-noise band summed AFTER the filter (so the sweep never swallows the air), a mid EQ, width, reverb, and the EFFORT bellows coupling the brightness and loudness. They differ exactly where it counts, and each pad key recalls a RIG PROFILE that flips all of it in one batch: the accordion runs THREE ranks, de-HONKS the mid (the honk is cut), sits in a WIDE lush hall, breathes on a GENTLE concave swell, and leaves the reed PURE; the bandoneón adds a FOURTH rank (a double-8' beating harder), switches on a hard-edged SATURATION 'reed grit' the accordion BYPASSES, PRESENCE-boosts the mid (the honk IS the bandoneón), tightens into a DRY room, and breathes in a fast, twitchy CONVEX voice that also drives the grit. Press a key to sound it; tap Accordion or Bandoneón to change instrument. The two standalone rigs, collapsed into one — add a squeezebox by adding a profile.
