Sample
A raw audio sample — a waveform — held in the project pool as formless MATERIAL. It makes no sound of its own; a consumer (an instrument zone, an arranger clip, a sampler buffer, a reverb IR) draws it in and gives it form. Created by importing audio into the Assets node, never spawned standalone.
